Pastor James Parker is a faithful shepherd whose love for God and His people is evident in every aspect of his life and ministry. Lighthouse Church is truly grateful to have a pastor who continually casts God-given vision, faithfully prays and fasts, and wholeheartedly dedicates his time, passion, and energy to serving the saints. His genuine love for people and unwavering commitment to seeing lives transformed have been a tremendous blessing to our church family. Alongside his wonderful wife, Scout Parker, they have built a beautiful family with their three daughters and one son, serving as an inspiring example of faith, love, and devotion. We thank God for Pastor James Parker and are honored to call him our pastor.
Bishop Jesse Parker
Bishop Jesse Parker’s life is a powerful testimony of the redeeming grace of God. Though he was raised in the Apostolic truth, the hardships of his parents’ divorce led him away from the Lord, and he spent years pursuing a life that took him deep into drug smuggling throughout Mexico and California. Yet God’s mercy never gave up on him. After years of running, he found his way back to church in Bakersfield, California, where his uncle, Pastor I.H. Terry, faithfully pastored him. Through repentance, countless Bible studies, and a passion for winning souls, God completely transformed his life, and many families came to know the truth through his ministry. In 1984, the Lord called him to La Grande, Oregon, where he faithfully served as pastor until 2021. He has gone on to meet his reward in 2022. His unwavering commitment to Apostolic doctrine, his love for people, and his lifelong dedication to preaching the gospel have left an enduring legacy that continues to impact generations. Lighthouse Church will forever be grateful for the foundation he laid and the example of faith he lived. We love you, Bishop. Your labor was not in vain, and because of the lives you touched, the best is yet to come.
